The Building Department is in the process of implementing Oracle's Fusion Cloud Public Sector - Community Development Permitting system. This system will facilitate processing permit applications, from submission to closure, using an online web based application, replacing the current paper dependent process. The new online system is expected to go live in mid-2022.

MONROE COUNTY HELD VIRTUAL QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION FOR NEW ELECTRONIC PERMITTING SYSTEM FEB. 28
County staff has been working to provide better customer service to the public with a new electronic permitting and plans review system. This software, once implemented, will replace the current outdated system that requires applicants to drive to a County building department offices and submit paper plans and related documents. Monroe County and the software company's staff held a question and answer session on Monday, Feb. 28 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. virtually via Zoom webinar. The public asked questions and answers were provided about how the new permitting system will work, and learned about its benefits, which are expected to include improved permit review timeframes and the ability to submit documents at any time of day or night from the convenience of your home or office.
