Beginning Oct. 1, 2025, Monroe County will transition its Social Services Transportation Disadvantaged Program to the Guidance/Care Center, Inc. (GCC). This change consolidates all of Monroe County’s Special Transportation Services under a single provider to improve efficiency, coordination, and service delivery.
Eligible riders include seniors aged 60 and older and those needing assistance with critical trips. Services will prioritize trips to medical and health appointments, meal sites, public assistance, grocery shopping, employment, and other approved programs. By focusing on these priorities, the program will continue to support residents' health, independence, and quality of life across the county.
