MONROE COUNTY FIRE STATIONS ACCEPTING RELIEF SUPPLIES FOR HURRICANE DORIAN SURVIVORS

Monroe County Fire Rescue and the Professional Firefighters of Monroe County, IAFF Local 3909, are partnering together to accept donations for Hurricane Dorian victims in the Bahamas to aid in their relief following such a devastating hurricane event. People wishing to donate any of the following types of supplies may do so at designated Monroe County Fire Rescue stations:

• Bottled Water
• Canned Goods
• Can openers
• Mosquito repellent
• Sunscreen
• Liquid hand sanitizer
• Diapers
• Baby wipes
• Baby formula
• First-aid supplies
• Flashlights
• Batteries
No clothing is being accepted.

Monroe County Fire Station Drop Off Locations:
• Stock Island - Station 8, 5655 MacDonald Avenue, MM 5
• Sugarloaf - Station 10, 17175 Overseas Highway, MM17
• Big Pine – Station 13 – 390 Key Deer Boulevard, MM 30.5
• Layton – Station 18 – 68260 Overseas Highway, MM 68.5
• Tavernier – Station 22 – 151 Marine Avenue, MM 92

Monroe County Fire Rescue Personnel will be available between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. to receive donations at the above locations. Delivery of donated supplies will be coordinated by the Firefighters of Monroe County.
