Key West International Airport Ad Hoc Committee on Noise
The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners established the Ad Hoc Committee on Noise in 1995. The committee is composed of airport neighbors and representatives of the aviation industry. Members serve for the duration of the committee. Ad Hoc Committee meetings provide an opportunity to directly experience the viewpoints, ideas, and concerns about noise at Key West International Airport. The Ad Hoc Committee generally meets four times per year.
Each of the members represents one or more constituent interests: neighborhood residents, public agencies, and aviation users. The committee members act as a conduit for information to and from their constituents on issues related to airport and aircraft noise.
